Immersive Workshops on diversity in the digital sectors

 

As part of the Canada Campus Party (The Festival of Innovation, Creativity and Technology from November 5th to 7th, 2021 in Montreal), the Digital Spring offers two CODE Avenir workshops on the theme of diversity in technology. Join us as a 3D avatar in a virtual world based on video game technology and put your innovative ideas to work!

3:00 PM – GIRLS IN TECH!

Workshop with Technovation Montréal and the Montreal Girls & Code Movement

Why is there still a gap between men and women in technology? Share innovative solutions for a future based on diversity and equality!

4:00 PM – INDIGENOUS CULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY!

Workshop The First Peoples Innovation Centre, initiator of the first Indigenous FabLab in Canada!

How can technology and digital technology be tools for positive change for communities and cultural transmission? Discuss this question and share your innovative ideas.

The Virtual World is an immersive environment of discoverability and socialization designed by the Montreal Digital Spring in partnership with Pixsenses, developed within the context of the Youth QC 2030 project to present the possibilities of digital technology to young people aged 13 to 29.
