IAM Dakar wins the AVATARS competition: AI serving equality and memory, on the road to MTL connect
Printemps numérique is proud to have contributed to the AVATARS project, a visionary international initiative that harnesses artificial intelligence and digital arts to promote equality and preserve collective memory.
On June 24, at the United Nations House in Brussels, the Club Leadership and Entrepreneurship (CLE) – Groupe IAM Dakar won the AVATARS competition with their outstanding project bringing to life the avatar of Mariama Bâ, the renowned Senegalese author and activist. Thanks to AI, her legacy continues to inspire thousands of young people today, carrying a message of hope and inclusion.
An award presented by our partner FARI in Brussels
As part of this partnership, Susheel Nath, representative of FARI – AI for the Common Good Institute, had the honor of presenting the AVATARS Award to the winning team on behalf of Printemps numérique. This ceremony took place during a prestigious event organized for the International day of women in diplomacy, bringing together decision-makers, artists, researchers, and organizations committed to a more inclusive digital world.
An invitation to MTL connect
In recognition of their work, the team members will receive four complimentary passes to attend MTL connect, Montreal’s Digital Week organized by Printemps numérique. This will allow them to share their experience, expand their network, and discover new opportunities for collaboration and social impact.
