Become a speaker at MTL connect 2023

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of MTL connect: Montreal Digital Week which will take place from October 10 to 13, 2023Montreal Digital Spring (Printemps numérique)  invites you to apply to present conferences, panel discussions and workshops around the main theme: COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE.

Deadline: March 27, 2023

COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE is the ability of a group to solve complex problems through the interactions between its individuals and the resulting synergies. Each individual possesses a share of the knowledge, the know-how and the solution. With digital technology, billions of individuals are interconnected at every moment, like billions of synapses of the same entity. The 2022 edition of MTL connect, with the main theme ECO(Systems) of Hope, invited us to imagine a desirable digital world for tomorrow. For this hope to be realized, it must necessarily be accompanied by concrete and, above all, collective actions. This is why, in 2023, MTL connect continues to explore the desirable digital world with the desire to bring together ideas, individuals and organizations, and to place them at the heart of change.

COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE will contribute to the transfer of expertise between different ecosystems, to the cross-fertilization of knowledge and to the international influence of the various forms of digital innovation in the Montreal metropolis.

The main theme will be declined through the 4 following topics:

How to leverage different expertise so that AI can solve complex problems and improve life in community In the current context where generative AI is becoming more and more important in our lives, can it combine ethics and omniscience?

#SyntheticData #Ethics #ResponsibleAI #GenerativeAI (ChatGPT, LaMDA, JasperChat…)

How can collaboration between governments, businesses and organizations provide more equitable access to culture and digital creativity? What will be the place of creators and creative industries in a world where works and content can now be generated by AI?  In what ways can digital technology make culture and heritage more visible? #IntellectualProperty #Heritage #SynthesisImages #FutureOfCreators #Discoverability #AI #StableDiffusion #Immersion

How to involve the different sectors and actors in the protection of private and sensitive data? Is it possible to put in place common standards and practices that guarantee the integrity of data and information systems? How might quantum cryptography lead to certain cybersecurity challenges?

#DataLeak #Cyberattacks #DigitalImmunity #CriticalInfrastructures #Quantum #Computing

How can collective practices contribute to the transformation of rural and urban communities into vibrant, connected spaces? Can we combine ethics and surveillance systems? Can we formalize information systems to improve public services and the quality of life of citizens? Can technologies guarantee the food security of communities?

#Agritech #Drones #DigitalReality #Health #Mobility #EnergyEfficiency

MTL connect 2023 will feature conferences and panel discussions, but to echo the main theme of Collective Intelligence, there will be an emphasis on workshops. An opportunity to put forward discussion spaces that promote collaboration, open innovation and the sharing of expertise.
