Throughout the day, one central question guided the discussions: How can we help young people develop the digital skills essential to their safety and well-being?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Day of Welcoming and Collaboration<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The day was coordinated by Printemps num\u00e9rique, in collaboration with Albane Fran\u00e7ais (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/polesynthese.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SYNTH\u00c8SE<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), a member of the Roundtable. Manuelle Freire and Jocelyn Benoit from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nad.ca\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NAD-UQAC<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> School ensured on-site support and hospitality, allowing participants to discover the school\u2019s digital creation spaces.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talks and Highlights<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In her presentation, Laureline Chiapello (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chairecreat.ca\/creativite-numerique\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CREAT Chair<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) shed light on inclusion, well-being, and responsible practices in video game design. Alix Jasmin Morissette (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cybercap.qc.ca\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cybercap<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) led a workshop on cybersecurity, allowing participants to explore young people\u2019s realities and needs in the digital world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the afternoon, Amina Yagoubi and Agathe Paigneau (Printemps num\u00e9rique) presented the <\/span><b>Cyberbullying Prevention Competency Framework<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a tool structured around four dimensions: society, individual, education, and justice. The participatory workshop that followed identified concrete actions to prevent cyberbullying.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.printempsnumerique.ca\/veille\/etude\/cyberviolence-chez-les-jeunes-les-defis-de-la-cyberintimidation\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Download the Framework<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Collective Consultation to Identify Common Priorities<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The end-of-day collective consultation highlighted several priorities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">strengthening digital literacy education from elementary school through postsecondary studies;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">better training and equipping educational staff;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">offering simple and accessible resources for parents;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">providing stronger support for community organizations working on the ground;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">accelerating platform regulation for services used by children and adolescents;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">breaking down silos between schools, organizations, institutions, and industry to improve the coherence of actions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants shared*:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was moved to see the cohesion in the proposed solutions. Many people from different backgrounds with the same desire to help.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI was delighted with my first participation. I discovered a Roundtable with committed, qualified, caring, curious members who stay on top of new developments and solutions in digital literacy!
